The U.R.G.E. Foundation, in partnership with BossMom Network, recently spent a meaningful day with the young mothers at Mary’s Child. They hosted a special holiday gathering designed to support and celebrate the girls and their children.
Mary’s Child, an U.R.G.E. sponsored center, provides support for neglected teenage mothers and their babies, helping them navigate parenting, education, and professional development during a challenging stage of life. The goal of the day was simple but powerful: to remind each young woman that she is seen, valued, and worthy of care and opportunity.
The event offered a full experience that had activities, connection, and self-care. Mentors led heartfelt motivational conversations where the girls shared openly and received guidance and support. The afternoon included pampering sessions with manicures and pedicures, along with games and bonding activities that brought laughter and strengthened community among the residents.
A major highlight of the day was the thoughtful distribution of gifts and practical items. Each participant received a personalized tote bag filled with essentials such as a water bottle, journal, book, fragrance, and body and beauty products. Expectant mothers were also given packed hospital bags, and the residence received diapers and wipes to help support daily needs. For one young woman with aspirations in fashion and design, a sewing machine was gifted to help nurture her creativity and future goals. The day concluded with a catered lunch shared by the girls and the staff at the residence.
The foundation extends deep gratitude to the volunteers and support team who made the day possible through their compassion and generosity. Together, U.R.G.E. Foundation and BossMom Network created an experience that helped the young mothers and their babies feel cared for, confident, and encouraged for what lies ahead.
